  • When should I wrap my vehicle versus getting it painted?

Deciding between wrapping or painting your vehicle depends on your needs, budget, and style. Wraps are great for temporary or customizable designs, as they allow intricate patterns, can be removed easily, and protect the original paint from scratches or sun damage. A paint job, however, is better for a permanent finish. Paint offers a seamless, durable finish but costs more and requires regular upkeep to stay pristine. The right choice depends on your priorities—flexibility, cost, or longevity.

  • How long do vehicle wraps last?

The lifespan of vehicle wraps typically ranges from 5 to 10 years, depending on the type of film used, environmental conditions, and maintenance practices. Regular cleaning and avoiding prolonged exposure to harsh elements, such as direct sunlight or extreme weather, can also help extend the life of a vehicle wrap.

  • How much does it cost to wrap my vehicle?

The cost of wrapping a vehicle can vary depending on several factors, including the size of the vehicle, the type of wrap material used, and the complexity of the wrap design. Partial wraps, such as covering only specific sections like the hood or doors, are typically less expensive. It's also important to consider the quality of installation and material, as these can significantly impact both price and longevity. Scheduling an appointment with us is the best way to determine exact costs for your project.

  • How long does it take to wrap a vehicle

Most vehicles will take a minimum of 3 days and can take up to 7 days depending on the degree of difficulty. On average, it usually takes about 4 days.

  • Applicable Fees (All easily avoidable!)

    1. Storage Fee: We will store your vehicle for 5 business days after completion. Each day after is $30 per day. To avoid fees, please pick up your vehicle promptly.
    2. Dirty vehicle / Cleaning: To prevent delays, we require customers to wash their cars the day before their appointment, and bring it free of dirt, wax and polish. This allows us to work on your car immediately. Any vehicle that requires extensive cleaning prior to installation will be charged an additional $200.
    3. No show fee: We understand that things come up and because of this, we allow customers to reschedule appointments up to 2 days before drop off. No shows or cancellations forfeit 50% down payment.
  • Is there a Warranty?

Color Factory DFW extends to our customers a 1-YEAR Limited Warranty for all defects due to installation error, which includes lifting, peeling, wrinkles and bubbling on OEM factory paint. Any accidental damage, road hazard damage, or normal wear and tear of the vehicle wrap or PPF is not covered under the limited warranty.

The Limited Warranty does NOT cover damages to a vehicle wrap of PPF cause by improper care, including the use of chemical cleaning agents, power-washing, use of ANY automatic vehicle washing station (car-wash or similar which uses machines to apply soap and water), or ANY application of liquids at a higher than natural velocity to the exterior of the vehicle after the vehicle wrap or PPF has been installed.

Please refer to our terms & conditions for more information about our warranty.
